Lavender - contains anti-inflammatory compounds and can reduce inflammation around joints.

Peppermint - contains menthol, which has a cooling effect on sore, achy muscles. It also has analgesic, antispasmodic, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Chamomile - helpful for nerve pain & can ease abdominal, back and leg pain.

The Ritual

Herbal baths have been used for hundreds of years to heal ailments and promote relaxation. Add 1/4 cup into a bowl and fill the bowl with hot water (not boiling), let sit 3-5 minutes, then add water to bath and soak for at least 15 minutes each time for full herbal benefits.

For a sitz bath use 2tbsp spoons. (A sitz bath aka a hip bath is a bath is where you sit in warm water up to the hips. It is used to relieve discomfort and pain in the lower part of the body).

Herbalist recommendation

Soak in the bath for at least 20-30 minutes.

Perfect after exercise these salts really do make muscles feel better. Bonus for me was a deeper sleep too.
